More Information About This Class
Students will be taught a specific segment of the English language paper for each lesson. Worksheets will be given out to first explain the concepts and then for students to then apply them in practice.
Students are then encouraged to explain the concepts in class as this form of reiteration further strengthens their understanding of the lesson.
Students will also be given a small test every end of the month to Ensure that techniques that are tested are fully comprehended.
Tutor's Experience
I've had 9 years of tutoring experience and specialise in English. Teaching a range of students from local to international students, I'm very well acquainted with the common weaknesses of students. I work very closely with my students and tailor my lessons according to the learning capacity of the group.
It is essential for student to grasp the concept of grammar as this is the foundation of the English language.
Focusing on vocabulary and techniques of vocabulary cloze, synthesis as well as comprehension will be emphasised for each lesson.
Also as I've taken a course in teaching Creative writing. Students will also be given techniques to apply to their composition that will garner them a good grade.
It's important for students to always recap each lesson That's taught and thus worksheets will be given each lesson. It's good for students to be more interactive in class as this is a good gauge of whether or not they're receptive of what's being taught as such, I encourage interaction with my students during lessons time.
