More Information About This Class
As every individual student is unique, I will focus on each and every student depending on their needs . For all new students, I make the effort to chat with them and ask them which aspect of the language exam they are most concerned about such as text editing, situational writing, continuous writing and comprehension. I will also assess the grammatical standard of each student as this is the basic foundation of English.
I am also keen to impart knowledge of current affairs to the students and to inculcate in them the habit to read newspapers. This will also prepare them for the General Paper 'A' level exam even though they are currently in secondary school . Learning English can be both enjoyable and fun ; it is not just about writing essays and answering comprehension questions. I will interact with the students and allow them to discuss topics of current interest so that they become more articulate and more confident in speaking up; in so doing, they will be made aware of the current affairs which are happening around the world and also in their own countries.
I am confident that students who attend my class will find it refreshing and be motivated to learn more about the English language .
Tutor's Experience
I graduated with Second Class Honours in English Language and Literature from the National University of Singapore. Due to my passion for the English Language, I have been teaching part time for the past 15 over years. I was previously also a relief teacher in both Mee Toh Primary and Rangoon Secondary schools during my university days . These teaching stints were very enjoyable experiences; I loved interacting with the students and helping them to improve their English Language. I am familiar with the school syllabus. With my patience and dedication, I am confident that I will be able to guide my students to do better and make learning English an enjoyable and fruitful experience. Thank you.
