Tutor's Experience

I have a strong grasp of Chemistry as a subject and the process of learning Chemistry back in Secondary school and JC, and have usually attained the top few scores for Chemistry in class, especially during JC1 promotional exams where I clinched the Deans List. My volunteering experience as a roaming tutor at a school based childcare centre broadened me to diverse and complex learning needs of students. I approach tutoring in an open-minded and flexible manner, focusing on developing the individual holistically, addressing not just one need at once but the important priorities. Mostly I aim to get a picture of the individual's needs before adapting my style, and often I touch up a little bit on discipline for learning as I have tasted its importance when I was studying in school, especially Chemistry. In addition, I have a strong sense of work ethic and am conscientious of how I should be doing my best to help a junior in need of academic improvement, therefore I'll be glad to offer help wherever necessary. On an ending note, patience and excellence are my top priorities when it comes to guiding, so I am readily approachable.
