More Information About This Class
I love organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry. My passion just flows in me, so much that I have already published a research paper in NTU in Year 1 on the Asian Journal of Chemistry. Come to my class, and see organic chemistry in a whole new way.
With 4 years of teaching experience in H3 Chemistry, I know exactly what common mistakes students will make. I will help you avoid these blindspots, and utilise my expansive bank of questions to drill you with the relevant concepts for every topic. Explaining the same concepts for 4 years has taught me exactly how best to break it down to you so that you understand it all in one sitting. Tutor's Experience
I'm a Year 3 (Honours, 1st class) Chemistry major in NTU, in the prestigious CN Yang Scholars Programme (limited to top 50 science/engineering students in NTU). This is a research-intensive programme where I have worked on cutting-edge organic chemistry research since Year 1, upgrading my mastery of advanced organic chemistry concepts.
In VJC, I was top in the whole cohort for every H2 and H3 chemistry exam, and in NTU, I have scored A+ for every chemistry mod (except two).
My passion for chemistry motivates me to understand chemistry concepts thoroughly and I try to convey my passion and expertise in my teaching. I am skilled at breaking down chemistry concepts into simple information for my students to process, followed by targeted practice to reinforce my students' understanding. Having taught both H2 and H3 chemistry for 4 years, I have helped several students improve their grades (from borderline pass to at least a B for H2 chem, and from a fail to a Merit for H3 chem in one case). My experience teaching both struggling and intermediate-level students have equipped me with the ability to adjust my pace according to my students' strengths and weaknesses.
