More Information About This Class
Price stated is for private 1-1 lessons held at a venue of your choice, like your home. There will be a 25% discount per person if you form your own small group tuition with a friend, preferably a classmate. Having students from the same school and class helps the tuition class to be more effective as we can follow the school’s pace, scheme of work and exam schedule.
Max of 3 students so that each student gets sufficient individual attention.
Lesson focus: To reinforce topics learnt in school and revise all concepts tested for PSLE with focus on solving word problems using heuristics. Students can also seek help for school homework.
Lots of questioning and answering (hopefully!) in this class to help students clarify their thought processes and build a strong foundation in Maths.
Materials used are notes, assessment books and past years’ school exam papers. A small amount of material fees will be collected.
Day and time stated are flexible. Classes can be conducted for other levels as well. Please feel free to contact me for further details or to arrange your own class. Email or WhatsApp is preferred as I may not be able to pick up your call when in class.
Tutor's Experience
I am ex-MOE primary school teacher and a full-time tutor. I have 3 years teaching experience , followed by 7 years of full-time tutoring experience. Throughout these 10 years, I have taught pupils of various abilities. I have taught English and Science but now specialising in Maths as this is my interest and I hope more pupils will enjoy Maths.
Generally my pupils show improvement in their results, e.g from F in p5 to B in PSLE, and from 60+ in p3 to A* in PSLE. Most pupils continue to be under my tutelage from primary school to secondary school.
