I started my Diploma in Digital Media Design Nanyang Polytechnic back in 1998 - 2002.
From my course, I learnt life drawing and design fundamentals and major into Interactive Media.
My final year attachment was intern as Web Designer for Singapore National Co-operative Federation under NTUC Income.
After graduation from school, I started work as Web Designer in NTU and later on took on small web projects in LTA and MHA. I landed in a position in Corporate Communications department in Ministry of Home Affairs. From there I served as Webmaster for collaboration as point of contact releasing information through press releases. (MOH, SCDF and the Home Team).
I moved on to explore IT Helpdesk role supporting web portal in both private and government sector like DSTA (Jan -Apr 2008), HP (Nov 2003- June 2004), Yellowpages (Jul-Sep 2006), (CAB) Changi Air base (Jan- Mar 2005) These allow exposure to web user interface and knowing the system, architecture and functions of Information Technology.
In 2007, I explore work as Project Manager in Small and Medium Enterprise with iFoundries Pte Ltd, Take the lead role in timing and scheduling of web/print projects at hand. Responsible for the process from initial point of contact (lead generation), presentations, proposals, through contract negotiations and execution of web projects. I work closely with the business development manager and head of development, with the programmer and designer.
From the exposure of IT, Web and Digital Media Design, I decided to study as educator so as to impart my creativity and technical knowledge to others.
Now I moved on to receive University studies in Early Childhood with Digital Media Minor and also Post Graduate Certificate in Special Needs and Inclusion Educaiton by the University of Newcastle, Australia.
Worked with Parent Volunteers in Raffles Girls’ Primary School for the past 3 years (2009-2012) every Wednesday for the Primary 1 and 2 students for an hour.
Currently AMIS-certified instructor for MOE schools.
