More Information About This Class
This class will be for JC1 students. Students will be taught proofs so as to allow them to better understand the formulas and build their confidence. In addition, challenging questions that require creative thinking will also be posed to prepare for exams.
Lastly, concepts and useful theorems not in syllabus will also be gone through briefly, since they can usually be derived from what a student already knows and will usually be sneakily tested in exams.
Students can also bring any questions from school that they are unable to solve, and I will go through them
Tutor's Experience
I am currently a student from NTU studying mathematics & economics.
Before that, I was a student from NUS High, and graduated with mathematics GPA of 4.8.
I have also participated in various mathematics Olympiads and have got minor awards in some.
I believe that mathematics education should be taught with the objective of truly understanding
the concepts, rather than blind practice. Armed with questions that will force students to think creatively and examine their own understanding, I am sure my students will improve and come to think of mathematics as an easy subject.
