More Information About This Class
This is a small group setting with max 3 students. This means all students can get adequate attention and my teaching style can still adapt to different learning pace or preferences of each student. This setting will also see increased engagement level as students appreciate companion and would find it easier to concentrate in class partly due to implicit peer pressure. In addition, learning points from the students' mistakes can be shared among the group.
In summary, there will be:
- Concept checks and corrective explanations with examples
- Practice questions from multiple sources
- Mock exams
Venue will be at Cafe Galilee inside Jurong Regional Library
Tutor's Experience
I am a full-time tutor with 3 years of tutoring experience, specializing in Math subjects for Secondary & JC levels. My teaching approach is the very opposite of lecture style as my students usually speak more than me during the class. My strength is in asking the guiding questions to let students pick up the concept or pattern by themselves. This has been proven effective for weak students as normal classroom teaching just doesn't work for them.
