More Information About This Class

Many Singaporeans, even in formal occasions or in the company of foreigners, use non standard English (Singlish) in speech, often resulting in inappropriateness or miscommunication. This will hurt students in speech exams too. Often, mistakes arise in the form of wrong pronunciation of words (not differenciating between "bat" and "bet" and syntactical errors (e.g. "you want go where" instead of "where do you want to go"). My class will instil proper pronunciation as well as syntactic skills to give students an advantage for school and in the corporate world.
