More Information About This Class
Struggling in English? I was once in your position. I am now studying law in NUS, and minoring in anthropology in Yale-NUS. What I have learnt is that to do well in English need not be hard. All it takes is an interest in learning about your environment, active practice, and a good teacher.
Most teachers in school do not spend enough time, or do not have enough time, to teach you the basics. That was the problem for me, and thankfully, I met some caring teachers along the way who went beyond their duties to give me individual attention.
I am willing to give that individual attention to my students, to help students write better, and think better. Learning English should be enriching, and part of learning other things. So I will teach English with current affairs, such as newspaper articles.
