About Tuition Centre

Focusing on sight-reading rather than visual memory skills, Jacinda sets herself apart from other teachers – as her students are able to see tremendous improvement in their piano-playing skills after a reasonable amount of time. She focuses on building a strong sight-reading foundation for her students so that they can progress more easily to complex pieces.

Jacinda has been teaching piano for 4 years (previously at eZoo Music School of Fine Arts) and has attained Grade 8 in both piano performance and theory musicianship (ABRSM), along with a Grade 7 certification in double bass performance (ABRSM). Under the tutelage of Gerald Lim, she is pursuing the ATCL Performance Diploma (Piano) which is set for completion by 2022. Prior to that, she attained the Silver Award for both Overseas Performers’ Festival (organised by The Musique Loft) in 2017 and 2019.

Jacinda’s unique position as a Music Elective Programme (MEP) student (2015-2020) and alumni of both Raffles Girls’ School and Raffles Institution (JC) has led to a wide range of performance opportunities with renowned music ensembles. In Singapore, she has performed/collaborated with The Philharmonic Orchestra, MEP Orchestra, Raffles Girls’ String Ensemble, Raffles Girls’ School Concert Band and Raffles Institution Chamber Ensemble. As the double bass section leader of Raffles Girls’ Strings ensemble, she attained the Raffles Colours Outstanding Award (performance) in 2018 and Merit Award (performance) in 2017. Her quintet also clinched the 1st Prize in the Brillante Interschool MEP Chamber Competition in 2018.
